For years I stayed up late into the night, reading with my flashlight, falling more and more in love with the written word, with its ability to inform, enlighten, transport and delight. My fascination with words led me to a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University with a major in English Literature and a minor in Children’s Literature, followed by a Master’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Children’s Literature and a Certificate in Publishing from the University of Denver.
So far, I have created original website content, newsletters, graphic advertisements, office manuals, company policies and employee bios for two separate multi-million dollar businesses. I have also helped to edit, refine and update any and all written content utilized by these companies in day-to-day proceedings. Beyond this professional experience, I have also edited undergraduate and graduate level essays and theses, medical school entrance essays, resumes and fictional works for personal friends and acquaintances.
While I no longer have my mother telling me to put my book down and go sleep, I will always and forever be that little girl, with a flashlight in her hand, finding infinite delight in the written word.
